Teachers' Testimony
Sheila
My name is Sheila Lum, I'm 56 and from England. I have been to China 6 times and this is my second time teaching English. In England I was a full time Tai Ji Instructor for 5 years. I really like the county-side and enjoy working in it. My other main hobby is enjoying English Folk Music. I have a daughter, Marie 29 and a son, Terry 28 who are both in England. I like to encourage everyone in my class to join in and speak. I look for worward to meeting you in this beautiful place.
Mike
Hi, my name is mike, I am from Houston, a city in the southern US, It is very nice to meet you, I was teaching in GuangXi normal university for quite a while, and I enjoy the new life here in Suzhou. I can speak a little Chinese here!
Roland
My name is Roland and I was born 23 years ago in a small European country called Holland. My mother language is Dutch and my second first language is English. I have the same problem as the Chinese students in our school; I started with zero learning this language. But I really enjoy learning languages, so in the last years I also learned German, French and Spanish. Now I am trying to learn the Chinese language and in January I will start with Swedish. In my home country I am still a student. My major is history and I'm about to specialize in Chinese history. This summer I have three months off, which I'd like to spend as an English teacher in ChaoYue. After my graduation in January I'd like to come back to Nanchang to teach for many more years. I really enjoy being a teacher and I adore China.
Tyler
Hey y'all. My name is Taylor and I come from America. I studied Economics in Virginia for 4 years, then, after graduating, I came to Asia to teach and travel. I have more hobbies than I have time to pursue, but my favorite things to do are take pictures for magazines and eat ethnic food. China has some of the best food in the world, and that's one of the main reasons I am here. I love being outdoors, and often spend time running, hiking, swimming, camping, etc. In my free time you will either find me out socializing at a bar or in my room reading.
Andy
I've been a teacher since 1990 so have been teaching for over 15 years. I am fully qualified and have taught in many school in England. I also have had 4 years work of management experience. I am very glad I came to China to teach English after 5 months of travel, I decided to return to Yangshuo to teach and make it my home. I am very happy to work for ZhuoYue. I especially like the friendly and professional atmosphere here.
